Learn to be an artist while being fed and drinking alcohol. That’s basically what this whole paint and sip thing is about, but Muse Paintbar takes it to the next level. They’ve got a bar and kitchen in each art studio stocked with all the wine, beer, and tapas you can imagine. It feels like you’re hanging out in some sort of cool artist’s loft: exposed brick walls, reclaimed barnwood tables, vintage lighting setting the scene over the bar, and different hand painted touches like funky murals and quirky art quotes.
With a glass of wine in one hand and a paintbrush in the other, we dipped into our first painting and wine experience. From the start, the energy in the studio was amazing. The artist was funny and energetic, really explaining the techniques. She kept us engaged with our pieces until the last moment — making sure the atmosphere was light and fun throughout. Even with no idea how to paint, my date and I left feeling super proud of how it came out!
Looking around the crowd, it seemed to be a big place for girls’ night out and date night, but they also host family days (which are sessions for all ages) and offer a variety of other paint and sip experiences. They also do a lot of bachelorette parties, birthdays, and work events so if you have a larger group, and live anywhere from Maine to Virginia, I definitely recommend booking a paint party with Muse!
Chalking this one up as an absolute YES in my book! Better yet, use code OBL15 for 15% off your own paint and sip session at Muse Paintbar!
