Nothing is more refreshing than a Mojito! With its citrusy lime,  cooling fresh mint and hint of sweetness, this classic Cuban cocktail recipe will remind you of summertime with every sip.

Fresh & Minty Mojito

Serves 1

Ingredients
1 lime
10 Fresh Mint leaves (Plus more for garnish)
.75 oz Simple syrup or 2 Tablespoons Sugar
1.5 oz White rum
Ice
Sparkling Water or Club Soda

Directions
1- Take the lime and roll it under the palm of your hand on a cutting board applying pressure. This will help to release some of the juices inside. Then cut the lime into 6 wedges.

2- In a strong walled glass muddle the mint and 4 lime wedges (also add the sugar to the muddling mixture if you are not using simple syrup). Add the simple syrup and rum, and fill with ice. Shake well and pour into glass. Top with sparkling water and garnish with a mint sprig and remaining lime wedges.

3- Enjoy!

TIP!

Muddling is an important part of making a great Mojito. It’s actually not difficult at all, but easy to do wrong.  If you want your cocktails to turn out perfect every time, watch this video on how to muddle properly. Let’s get muddling!
